AAT-A Automatic Pull-Off Adhesion Tester

Introduction

AJR NDT AAT-A automatic pull-off adhesion tester measures the adhesion of coating to metal, wood, plastic, concrete and other rigid substrates. The pull-off adhesion tester measures the force required to pull a specified test diameter of coatings or material away from its substrate using hydraulic pressure. Pressure is calculated based on force and is displayed on screen with unit Mpa or kN or Psi and represents the coating's strength of adhesion to the substrate. The tester confirms to ASTM D4541, D7234, ISO 4624, and others.

Principle

The AAT-A tester is mainly composed of pressure sensors and main machine. The pressure sensor produce voltage signal while it is forced. Then main machine internal A/D converter converts voltage signal to digital signal. After the single -chip microcomputer process, the touch screen display the adhesion value.

The self-aligning, quick-coupling actuator and spherical articulating dolly head enable uniform distribution of the pulling force over the surface being tested, preventing a one-sided pull-off.
